Welcome! You found my website hedersord.com. Hedersord means word of honour. It’s a swedish expression meaning that the person using the word speaks the truth.
This website was founded in the wake of some very unfortunate events that took place in Sweden.
We have experienced honour related abuse in various shapes and form. Such as forced marriage. domestic abuse (physical, sexual, psychological, emotional or financial) sexual harassment and sexual violence (rape and sexual assault or the threat of) threats to kill, physical and emotional violence and murder.
Now, all of the above is illegal in Sweden. And so is child marriages. One have to be 18 y/o to marry. Which causes parents to leave the country and have their children marry elsewhere.
This website focus on un-biased information. Fact based information and also dealing with some of the myths concerning honour violence.
